“I wanted to be an empowered woman, and I became an empowered woman. And now I want to empower every woman. And I do it through my clothes, I do it through my words, I do it through my money, I do it through everything.” -Diane von Furstenberg
I have the natural ability to develop others; I love seeing people succeed and excel in whatever they can. A true leader helps those around them succeed, by creating more leaders and this is very apparent in how I carry myself. I find that my peers look up to me, and that I am a great resource to those looking for people who are trying to find their niche.
My natural ability to develop others comes from my positive energy and skill to empower those around me to create good in the community. I am able to take anyone under her wing and make them the most important thing to me at that moment in time. This goes in hand with my natural ability in sustaining and maintaining relationships which are important to me. I think that maintain a relationship goes further than checking up on someone, but also making sure they are succeeding every way possible. In the LEAD Office I have found a group of people who I will always keep in contact and will l make sure that we are thriving together, and provide a support system. I feel that everyone has ability to be their best self and makes sure that I help others to see that they too have the ability.
I do not try to force her morals and ideas on to others because it is important that she let others find what works best for them. I allows herself to be the voice of reason to my peers, presenting them with a multitude of angles in which a situation can be looked at by others. I have the ability to understand the different dynamics which people bring and try to foster growth in my peers by encouraging them to try something new or step outside their comfort zone. I love being a part of a community, and with community involves being able to have healthy relationships with everyone and the ability to have an equality friendship and attitude to see others grow. I believe in helping others become their best self because it contributes to better citizens within our community. It also allows for people to gain a sense of pride in what they find most important and allows for more people to be inspire to encourage others to be leaders as well.
